When kind-hearted Lillian from Frankston North heard tiny cries under her house, she discovered a stray mother cat with her kittens living in the dirt. The mum was painfully thin, had a ruptured eye, and was struggling to care for her babies. Desperate to help, Lillian reached out to us for urgent assistance.

Mel rushed over, setting humane traps and a live-feed camera to monitor the cat family around the clock. Within hours, the mum cat was safely captured, followed by her six five-week-old fluffball kittens.
Dr Elaine urgently assessed them. Mum’s ruptured eye and broken tooth needed emergency surgery, while the kittens were treated for severe flea and worm infestations. One kitten also needed antibiotics for an infected eye. The entire family was lovingly bathed, warmed, and comforted.

Dr Alison from @WantirnaVetClinic generously donated her expertise to perform life-saving surgery on the mum cat.
Meanwhile, our team in partnership with the amazing team from Forever Friends Animal rescue, coordinated foster care, and Alexia from @ForeverFriendsAnimalRescue opened her home and heart to care for the entire family during recovery.
Touched by their journey, Lillian couldn’t part with the kittens she helped save. She eagerly awaits the day she can adopt two of them into her loving home.
