Grace Cummins
Vet Nurse
Grace is a Registered Nurse specialising in critical care, currently working in the Emergency Department. She holds a Bachelor of Nursing and brings her emergency care skills to the treatment and rehabilitation of wildlife.
Since 2017, Grace and her family have worked as wildlife carers, raising and rehabilitating more than 80 kangaroos, wombats, and wallabies. She has a strong passion for native wildlife and hands-on experience caring for injured and orphaned animals.
Since 2022, Grace has volunteered as a veterinary nurse at Possumwood Wildlife Hospital, assisting veterinarians with the treatment and recovery of Australian native wildlife. She has also gained experience supporting veterinary teams internationally, assisting with wildlife conservation, surgical programs, and animal care projects around the world.
Grace has a special interest in wildlife medicine and is committed to supporting compassionate veterinary care for Australia’s native animals through her work with Vets for Compassion.
