Kangaroo joey rescued on busy road
On Wellington Road, our kind volunteer came across a heartbreaking sign she’s seen far too often. A mother kangaroo lying lifeless on the road, and her joey outside the pouch, making soft clucking sounds, calling to her.
This is just a small glimpse of the devastating reality our wildlife faces every day on this stretch of road. Thankfully, Vicky was there. She took the joey in and named her Hope.
