Abandoned sheep in danger

Recently, our incredible team came together in a race against time to save three sheep from danger. Thanks to a call from Pam Ahern at Edgar’s Mission, we learned that these sheep, abandoned months ago on a vast 300ha public land, were in peril.

With their lives on the line and the clock ticking down, our team, including Dr Chris, Elaine, Oliver, Brendan, Vicki, Oscar, Narelle, Justin, and Mel, launched a daring rescue early Sunday morning. They showcased teamwork and quick thinking by working swiftly to beat the crowd and the imminent threat.

Despite the challenges and thick underbrush, our hero Oscar caught all three sheep, now named Dave, Richard, and Tricia! They’ve been checked by vets, given fresh cuts, and are now safe and sound with fresh hay and water, ready to start their new lives at Edgar’s Mission.

Thanks to everyone involved, from the park workers to our dedicated team and the wonderful Edgar’s Mission. This success story is a testament to the power of compassion.

A huge thanks to our volunteer rescuers for their commitment to this challenging rescue.
