Rebecca Weight has been a companion animal veterinarian for over 20 years, graduating from Massey University, New Zealand and undertaking postgrad study in the UK and Australia. As well as being an RCVS Advanced Practitioner in Small Animal Surgery, Rebecca has a strong interest in animal welfare having worked as a volunteer vet in Bali, Sri Lanka, India and China. She is passionate about supporting the professional development of fellow veterinarians both in China and more locally, contributing as a membership examiner and committee member of the Australian College Surgery Chapter. Rebecca lives at the beach near Christchurch in New Zealand’s South Island with her four cats, one dog, husband Mike and two children. She is Clinical Team Leader at Rangiora Veterinary Centre, one of the New Zealand’s largest veterinary hospitals.
