Thank you donors and Animals Australia for your support

This post is dedicated to Animals Australia and all of our donors during the 2020 bushfires.
Our brand new triage van that was so generously donated to us by Animals Australia is almost ready to take out on the road to help our team of volunteers rescue even more animals in need! We will be equipped to treat all animals, not just wildlife!
We have the utmost gratitude to Animals Australia, not only for the donation of the van but for their continued support. Animals Australia was responsible for flying our two vets into crisis zones during the devastating bushfires that ripped through Mallacoota last year, and flying in food for the affected animals. Without them, we wouldn’t have been able to get to the burnt and starving animals as quickly as we did. Their quick acting also helped us get to Portland in February last year to rescue hundreds of koalas that were bulldozed to make way for a farmer’s pasture. We would struggle to do what we do every day for animals in need if it wasn’t for the amazing teamwork!
Every cent donated to Vets For Compassion enables our team of 100% volunteers to do what we do so we’d also like to express our gratitude to every single person who donated big and small during the 2020 bushfires. Every remaining cent after saving and treating the animals affected has helped equip our team with supplies, purchase four state-of-the-art search and rescue drones, and kit out the triage van for the future disaster work. Thanks to VetQuip for giving us a generous discount, the van has been installed with state-of-the-art equipment including a surgery table, an outdoor treatment annex, treatment tables, an anaesthetic machine, animal cages, surgery equipment and instruments, anaesthetic monitoring equipment and more! A special thanks VetPartners Australia and New Zealand and East Bentleigh Vet Clinic who helped to make it happen.
Finally, we’d like to say a very special thank you to Together Rising and the anonymous donor from the US via The Pig Preserve. Your incredibly generous donations to our bushfire appeal and to our triage van respectively were enormous contributions during the dreadful time in 2020 and it will continue to have a lasting impact as we’re now fully equipped for future rescues. Thank you!
