Katie is a nurse with 15 years of experience and has been the team leader/head nurse of the Rangiora Vet Clinic . She leads a team of 15 nurses and am heavily involved in training student nurses.

She has previously been on the educational standards committee responsible for overseeing the educational standards of nursing qualification providers.

She is a  veterinary technician specialist in anaesthesia and analgesia qualification through the AVTAA.

She volunteered her time in the Vets for Compassion Project in Xian in 2017 and is a valuable contributor to the programme, ensuring we teach and practice the highest standards of animal welfare and nursing care for the stray animals that are undergoing desexing surgery
